We replaced worn out umbrellas and patio chairs. I did not do my usual research and thought that Home Depot's price on a 9-foot umbrella was fairly good. So, this is what I bought. Hampton Bay dimensions: 106.3" (8.86') W x 106.3" D x 101.2" (8.4') H. It has a rust-proof aluminum frame, wind vent, weather-resistant fabric (beige color), crank opening, three-position tilt, 11 pounds, and was made in China. The cost was $97.18 including tax and a cover. The umbrella comes with a one-year limited warranty.

purchased this umbrella in a store sometime in the past couple years, after my previous Totes brand umbrella I'd had for many many years finally got worn out. This is nowhere near the quality of the umbrella I had before and I'm now looking to replace it way earlier than I should need to, given that I use this maybe two to six times a month, max. First off, the clear base of the handle, which has the loop attached to it, has separated from the rest of the handle multiple times. I have tried various different types of glue to reattach it (including super glue and E-6000 Industrial Strength adhesive), and have still had to reattach months later when it would fall off again. The thickness and quality of the umbrella material seems much cheaper than older umbrellas, and one of the points where the material connects to the end of one of the "spokes" of the frame came unattached pretty soon after getting it. The metal frame itself is also weaker and cheaper than what I've had before. It's just not a quality umbrella and if you purchase it, be prepared for it to not last very long! I'm doing my research this time around and getting something of higher quality that people have had good experiences with.
